Chicago’s French Market is located in the West Loop area of Chicago at 131 N. Clinton - right next to the Ogilvie Transportation Centre – and is open Monday to Saturday. Designed to be a gathering of local vendors and high-quality artisan products the market offers a few good organic options. For raw food enthusiasts there is Chicago Raw – in the Northeast corner of the market - a business that promotes and sells raw, vegan, organic food to promote health and wellbeing. Choose from salads, entrees, sandwiches, juices and delicious desserts. One stall along you will find Chicago Organics selling fresh fruits and veg, meats and dairy products that are locally grown and responsibly produced. If you are after a gift head to Abbey Brown where they sell natural, chemical free, handmade soaps and bath essentials made locally and the old-fashioned way – infusing home-grown herbs and botanticals. Although not an organic store, the Pastoral Cheese and Wine Company in the North West corner of the market specialises in quality, sustainably produced goods and offers a small selection of organic cheeses, wines and other produce.
