Notre-Dame-de-Grace

Notre-Dame-de-Grace ("NDG"), is a residential neighbourhood of Montreal located in the city's west-end and is home to Montreal's only all organic grocery storeEcollegey. Located at 4627 Wilson, on the corner of Somerled, the owners set up this place after they had trouble finding food they liked and trusted. After meeting with local farmers they set up a delivery service of 'real green food' right out of their garage. When the space got too tight they took their last few bucks and opened Ecollegey. Now they offer fresh organic fruit and vegetables as well as certified organic meat, poultry and fish. As well as being organic, good relationships with local farmers means that they source their produce locally where possible. If you are in the market for a light lunch, checkout Cafe Juicy Lotus at 5568 Monkland Ave where you will find an array of vegetarian and vegan organic meals for take-out. They offer fresh salads, baked goods, raw foods, wraps, veggie burgers, using organic ingredients where possibleall served in a pleasant and welcomimg atmosphere.
